Job Overview:
We are seeking a hardworking Surface Mining Construction Labourer to support our surface mining operations. This role involves assisting in the extraction and processing of minerals, maintaining and preparing equipment and sites, and adhering to safety and environmental protocols. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to work in various outdoor conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in setting up and operating drills and other surface mining machinery.

Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.

Perform manual labour tasks such as digging, shovelling, mixing, pouring, and levelling earth.

Clear and prepare mining sites using equipment and tools to remove debris, boulders, and other obstacles.

Assist with the installation and maintenance of ventilation and drainage systems in the mine.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies at all times.

Participate in safety briefings, safety training, and regular drills.

Clean and maintain equipment and tools, and report any malfunctions or hazards.

Support the team in ensuring effective emergency responses and incident handling as required.
Qualifications:

Experience as a labourer in construction or mining preferred.

Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.

Familiarity with mining safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.

Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with team members.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the mine site.
Work Environment:

This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.

Candidates must be prepared to work in a noisy, dusty environment and wear protective gear when necessary.
