Skilled Labourer/Pipe Layer

Caron Equipment Inc. is seeking a full time dependable Pipe Layer/Skilled labourer with some experience on Heavy Equipment to join our team with a
range of experience for our Kidd Creek and surrounding Timmins area. The ideal Pipe Layer/Skilled labourer must be willing to expand their skill set and
increase their level of expertise.
Responsibilities:

Participate in all training required for Heavy Equipment Operators
-
A detailed understanding of mining and /or industrial and /or civil construction methods
-
Able to assemble and connect pipe systems for water mains, sewers, and drains.

Digging trenches using hand and machine trenching tools
-
Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators
-
Removing old or broken piping systems
-
Laying pipes into trenches and applying pipe spacers
-
Ensuring clean and safe worksites
-
Providing assistance with heavy machinery
-
Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up
-
Obeying health and safety codes, as well as the company policies
-
Ability to work on rotating shifts, days and nights.

Ability to work extended hours

Ability to take instruction from Superiors
Requirements:
-
Related experience within the mining, construction or industrial sector would be an asset
-
Work experience as a pipe layer
-
Knowledge of sewer systems, storm drains, and water mains
-
Valid Driver’s license, A safe driving record is required for this position
-
Adhere to all safety, health and environment policies and procedures

Identify and report hazardous or unsafe areas
-
Work as a supportive team member

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Able to work independently

Ability to build good, respectful working relationships

Level of experience Preferred – 1+ Year
