Founded in 1976 by Claude Caron with just a dump truck and soon after, a track loader, Caron Equipment Inc. began its operations in and around Timmins, Ontario.

In 2006, the ownership of Caron Equipment Inc. transitioned to Marc Caron, who has a background in Civil Technology, and Dan Laforest, who holds a Master Mechanics background.
