Job Title: Fleet Supervisor
Location: Côté Mine
As a Fleet Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding the fleet operations team to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanic looking to transition into a supervisory role and advance their career. You will oversee day-to-day fleet activities, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are maintained. The Fleet Supervisor will report to senior management and will be responsible for supervising and guiding employees and Sub-contractors. This position is located at a remote location, Côté Mine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of non-union employees, ensuring efficient fleet operations to meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor team progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary measures to address issues or concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance team performance, productivity, and fleet efficiency.
- Oversee and plan vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ensure fleet activities are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge in fleet management.
- Communicate regularly with senior management and other stakeholders to provide updates on fleet performance and team progress.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
- Manage and resolve conflicts and issues within the team effectively and professionally.
- Ensure daily approval and submission of time cards for all team members.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations.
- Ensure fleet readiness by coordinating with other departments to align operational needs with fleet availability.
Requirements:
- Experienced Mechanic looking for a career change and an opportunity to become a Fleet Supervisor, or with 5+ years of experience in the field of a Fleet Supervisor.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively liaising with team members and senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of fleet operations.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to fleet management.
- Flexible schedule to meet operational needs on a remote site.
